Blaine Window Hardware Inc. is proud to announce a four month long (March to June) benefit program for Reach of Washington County located in Hagerstown, MD.

Blaine Window Hardware will be featuring a 9 color Tee Shirt for sale to the public for the sum of $15.00 plus shipping featuring The Blaine Crusher, a former Monster Crusher Truck. All proceeds will be donated to help support Reach of Washington County.

The Blaine Crusher will be on display March 19th and 20th at the 41st annual FCBIA Home Show located at the Great Fredrick Fair Grounds located in Frederick MD. Tee Shirts will be available at the display or at the Blaine Window Hardware Inc. booth #908 located in Building #9.

Reach of Washington County is a nonprofit, faith based organization that has served the Washington County community for 25 years through their volunteer outreach programs. Their mission is to respond out of compassion to people in need. The programs include 24-hour Crisis Intervention, a Day Resource Center, the Cold Weather Shelter and Case Management Services, Open Table and Financial literacy training. Reach coordinates with other helping organizations in Washington County that assist low income, impoverished families and individuals and is often able to help when others are not able to fill the total need.

Currently, Reach of Washington County has three full time and three part time staff, three seasonal shelter staff, 14 board members, and a volunteer force of approximately 1,600 individuals.

The Cold Weather Shelter assists homeless adult men and women. During the 2014-2015 shelter season 283 individuals stayed at the shelter with a total of 8,435 bed nights. They shelter individuals who are unemployed and underemployed and not able to afford rental costs, veterans, mentally ill, disabled and those with addictions. They often serve the forgotten members of our community, those who fall between the cracks, or who may not qualify for services from other shelters. Examples of this would be single adult women and persons with alcohol and addiction issues.

Services offered via the cold weather shelter include hot meals, showers, laundry, information and referral and case management. In addition, they collaborate with outside agencies to provide shelter residents with health checks and training. They provide these services without discrimination on the basis of race, creed, sex, age, color, national origin, marital status, familial status, sexual orientation or disability.
